What are we up to now (blog)

Brrrrrrrrr......Cannon B-B-Beach

I can't believe how cold it is. As i type this, the little weather box on my computer reads  four degrees.  Combine that with all of the rain that we had recently and it adds up to miserable. Tina is struggling with all of the rain and clouds. Thank goodness the last couple days have been sunny, but the temperature is still cool. we have perpetual moisture on the windows of the trailer. the easiest way to get rid of it is to open the windows, but the temperature outside would surely kill us.. or at least make us very uncomfortable. We picked up a portable heater (you were right mom) and that has been a real life saver. It actually gets too warm at night now. Using the heater just makes sense because we are already paying for power, so why not save the propane.
Our video library is growing. We do have TV here, but we've gone so long without it that it is no longer a big deal. We do buy movies though. Right now there must be about 20 movies in our library that we haven't watched. We go to the video stores and purchase previously viewed, which are always a good deal. We can purchase 4-6 movies, and it's still cheaper than going to one in the theater.
We went to church on Sunday. We found out why God has laid this place on my heart. the church is really suffering. I don't mean that it's just down in numbers (although it is), it is completely broken in spirit it seems. It reminded me of a very disorganized church plant. at present it is without a pastor. It wasn't very friendly to visitors. Even afterward, when I was talking to the gentleman who gave the message, I received the impression that he didn't want to be bothered. I will continue to pray for this church, because right now that's the only intervention that will be beneficial. This church lacks leadership. If you are reading this, please pray for this church as it seeks to find what it is looking for.
