We have been on the coast on and off now for about 8 weeks. From Delta BC, Victoria BC, down to Cannon Beach OR, Heceta Beach OR and now Gold Beach OR (their was a brief stop in Puyallup WA as well). And the sights that we have seen have been incredible. Listening to the sounds of the ocean brings a smile to my face. the power, the low rumbling. Tina compared it to the sound of a bad storm with thunder last night. it is very close. We spent the evening sitting in our lawn chairs on the beach listening to the ocean and watching the sunset. It was amazing. Last week, we stopped at Heceta Head Lighthouse and felt the spray of the ocean as it crashed against the rocks. We witnessed wild Sea Lions by the hundreds basking in the sun. We have seen the coast from atop high mountain roads which seems to go on forever. And the history that goes along with each and every place that we stop is fascinating. God has blessed us. There have definitely been some rough patches along the way. but we work them out and we move on. To think that God has created all of this for us to enjoy. I read this morning Psalm 8. It tells us to put into perspective who we are and where God put is in the scheme of things. I for one am enjoying where I am, and give God the glory for it all. my next post, hopefully, will be sooner than this with a little more detail on on the things that we are doing. until then, keep checking the map and the pictures. Those are always being updated.
